Miniature fine art is one of the most difficult forms of art to master. While standards differ from country to country, fine miniature art can generally be categorized as art where:

 

• The representational subject is no larger than one sixth of its actual size
• The rendered peice is no larger than 5 inches by 5 inches ( U.S. standard - 4" X 4" is a more traditional size )
• The image detail stands up to scrunity under a magnifying glass or image enlargement
